Sparnex
presents its new LSX 2030 DSL Test Platform
The
Sparnex LSX 2030 brings enhanced test capabilities to the DSL test and
design engineer thanks to a fully programmable physical layer test
platform, perfectly suited for new ADSL2plus and VDSL2 applications and
recommendations. Applications
Integrated
wireline and noise simulation platform supporting all DSL applications (SHDSL/ADSL2plus/VDSL2):
- Conformance and
interoperability testing according ITU, DSL Forum, ATIS and ETSI recommendations
- Engineering/performance
testing allowing users to define specific deployment rules of DSL access
devices for country specific network characteristics
Benefits The LSX 2030
provides following unparalleled benefits:
- Ability to
reproduce any country specific network characteristics:
The
LSX 2030 is able to test performance compared to standards (like conventional
simulator do) as well as test performance under real network conditions
for any DSL application, from ADSL to VDSL2.This implies all the test
suites that are not in the standards. This full programmability enables
the user to reproduce any application specific physical layer, cable type,
and loop topology and noise shape characteristic for any unique network in
the world.
Key Features
- Bandwidth up
to 35 MHz, supporting HDSL, SDSL, SHDSL, ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2+, VDSL,
VDSL2 applications
- Fully programmable
with a wide variety and flexibility in simulation of parameters (see simulation
features)
- AAC ®
technology (Active Analog Concept) providing the highest degree of
reliability in simulation environments, solving the instability issue
inherent to the use of passive components
- Supports all
standards and recommendations for North America, Europe and Japan:

- Extensive
libraries for standard lines and noises (ITU-ANSI - ETSI – Bellcor
e-DSL Forum) and country specific libraries available
- A Windows GUI
facilitating an easy and intuitive dialogue between system and user
- Automatic
script generator allowing full automation mode
- 7 programmable
noise generators with two high impedance noise injectors for simulation
of NEXT, FEXT, User Filters, Impulse Noise, RFI, ham radio, REIN,
SHINE, Bitswap,….
- Noise import
software for customized noise models (PSD or time based)
Simulation
Features
- Simulation
of lines of different wire diameter, insulation material and
temperature
- Simulation of
line attenuation, phase shifts and group delay
- Simulation of
propagation delays so that echo’s will return only after the co
rrect time delay
- Simulation of
complex characteristic impedance (selectable) of the line to enable
proper testing of analogue hybrid-circuits (Analogue Front End )and
generation of the proper echo’s
- Simulation of
the DC (copper-) resistance of the line to enable up to 400V remote
powering (100 mA)
- Selectable
uni-directional or bi-directional operation
