In the beginning
of the 90's fiber was the key word; developing new transmission systems
for the existing telephone infrastructure based on copper wires was considered
a niche market.
Now, some 15 years later, DSL transmission systems providing
high-bandwidth capacity over copper are a must in the catalogue
of every self-respecting telecom equipment vendor. Operators
worldwide are deploying DSL systems on a massive scale.
Copper is definitely back and here to stay... Sparnex never abandoned
Copper in the first place and is today regarded as a leading competence
center for physical layer simulators and xDSL arbitrary noise
generators, and for xDSL laboratory automation.
